The WriteSafe Present-A-Thon is a QUARTERLY competition for all material registered with WriteSafe for public view. The first Present-A-Thon of each year starts January 1 and ends March 31. The second Present-A-Thon of each year starts April 1 and ends June 30. The third Present-A-Thon of each year starts July 1 and ends September 30. The fourth Present-A-Thon of each year starts October 1 and ends December 31. All contests end at 12 A.M. Pacific Time on their last day, and begin at 12:01 the following day. How Does It Work? Everything marked "public" is presented in our view section and automatically entered in the Present-A-Thon, whether it be a book, story, or film idea; a completed book, story, film script, or poem; a television or film treatment; artwork such as a drawing or cartoon; a Web entertainment channel idea or script. During April, July, October and January, the staff of WriteSafe will pick 5 winners from all material registered during the previous 3 months. There are no categories. The 5 best pieces of material will be winners, whether they be one sentence loglines or epic novels, one-panel cartoons or storyboards for a feature film. What's The Catch? There is none. Since the Present-A-Thon is an added value service supplementing the main function of WriteSafe, the protection of your creative work, anything you register and have marked for public post in the view section is automatically entered in the contest being conducted at the time of registration, regardless of whether you have already entered it in another contest, or enter it in one later! You can even win more than once, although not for the same material. What Are The Prizes? First Prize is consideration for publication, production, or representation by a panel of Entertainment Industry experts. If the work meets the standards of any one member of the panel, the winner will have an offer which could lead to a deal!
